Food Testing

Finally, we tested our food for the dinner and the food was great. What made it wonderful was my family was there.

It was also to celebrate my Aunt Anna's Birthday on the same day we tasted our food..... Isn't that wonderful!!

My brother and his partner, Shereen, took plenty of photos of the place and of the food. Great....

Shifting into Our New House

We bought the house in 2006 and finally it was completed in December 2009.

Unfortunately, there are some things we need to get the developer to repair and at the same time, to do some minor renovation on the house. We did what most people would do. Kitchen Cabinet and Master Room Wardrobe. So, I thought, perhaps, within 3 months we are able to get things done and Wo can start moving in 1st.

When March came, we could only start appointing the contractor to start work, which was already quite frustrating but I guess it's just normal, since the developer have so many units to take care of. Then I said to myself, "Now that we have appointed a contractor to do such simple task, Wo should be able to move in within 2 months, which would be May". And the contractor acknowledged that they will be able to deliver the house by then too. So, I was excited & looking forward to May.

Finally May arrived. My long awaited May has arrived. And guess what? THE HOUSE IS STILL NOT READY!!! I was furious and Wo is the one who is level headed enough to explain to me why the delay occurred. I wasn't too happy still. I don't have a choice anyway. So, the delay AGAIN!

Come June 9 when the contractor finally say he is done with the job and would want to return the key to us. FINALLY, we are getting our house.

On June 11, 2010; 6.30am, we official "shifted" into the house with the company of my mom and brother. Well, normal Chinese custom is to get the lucky day and time to move into the house for good blessings.

Now, we are trying to fill up the house with minimal furniture as to avoid 'difficult' cleaning in the future. My smart hubby.
